Star Citizen Alpha 3.17.0f PTU.8005836 Patch Notes

Alpha Patch 3.17.0f has been released to Evocati, and is now available to test! Patch should now show: VERSION 3.17.0-PTU.8005836.

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER folder for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\PTU.

Please log out then back in on the issue council site to see the Evocati environment there. Please make sure to only select the Evocati 3.15 environment when creating IC reports while the builds are Evocati only

Note: This patch does not contain all of the intended features, which will be added iteratively to the notes as they become available. Additionally, some features may be implemented in a partial state and as such are not ready for testing. When those features reach a playable state they will be detailed on the notes and added to the “Testing Focus”. Please issue council all issues related to those in testing focus and in general gameplay.

Known Issues

  • ASOP terminal displays successful retrieval with designated hangar number; however, there is no ship marker and designated hangar is empty
  • Cave interiors on planets with breathable atmospheres do not have an atmosphere which will cause the player to die from suffocation
  • AR Markers are present when opening the mobiGlas which can make it hard to read
  • The Filters in NikNax do not function
  • Players can get stuck inside geometry by sitting on and getting up from some boxes on refinery decks
  • Many mineable asteroids can’t be scanned
  • Ships can explode after players exit them
  • MFDs are difficult to interact with due to overriding Inner Thought prompts
  • Various repair areas don’t always spawn back all ship weapons after ship repair completes
  • Medpens and medical equipment have low LOD both in pharmacy kiosk and when being used

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where party leaders / members on the main menu can not kick party members out or leave party
  • Fixed an issue causing many ships to not be able to scan for any Surface Mining Deposits
  • Players should now longer get “Mass limited exceeded” when trying to pick up bodies using the tractor beam
  • The player should no longer respawn with their pre-death loadout and the medical gown equipped
  • After death, player should now consistently leave a corpse
  • Players should no longer be able to leave the game quickly after dying to save their gear
  • Right Click + Equip should no longer cause items to go missing after dying and respawning
  • Using the “Request Landing” key binding to take off (e.g. to open hangar doors) should no longer have inconsistent results
  • The marker showing the location of the mission should no longer move rapidly across space preventing the player from reaching it
  • Fixed an issue causing some variants of the 300 Series to consume hydrogen fuel at an unintended rate
  • Fixed an issue causing multiple ships to collide or get stuck to the Starfarer when docking at certain angles for refueling
  • Argo RAFT co-pilot should no longer be able control the ship’s power when the pilot is present
  • Cutlass Steel spotlight should no longer be offset / rotated to right
  • Grenades should now consistently explode when detonated
  • Equipment loadout should no longer get stuck and remain in a highlighted gray state
  • Fixed an issue causing inventory to close randomly when quickly equipping gear
  • Enemies inside UGFs should no longer sometimes appear to be holding invisible guns
  • Players should no longer see underwater screen effects at UGFs and caves
  • Security AI turrets should now correctly aim and fire at hostile players
  • Logging out while carrying a crate in your hands should no longer cause the crate to float next to the bed upon logging back in or lose all inner thought prompts
  • First grenade thrown should no longer be frozen in the air
  • Player should no longer encounter an infinite load/black screen when spawning into Klescher after dying
  • Fixed an issue causing vendor stands around Area18 to go missing
