Star Citizen Alpha 3.17.2h PTU.8126069 Patch Notes

Alpha Patch 3.17.2h has been released to the PTU and is now available to test! Patch should now show: VERSION 3.17.2-PTU.8126069.

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER and Shader folders for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:Program FilesRoberts Space IndustriesStarCitizenPTU. The Shader folders can be found here %localappdata%Star Citizen.

Note: This patch does not contain all of the intended features, which will be added iteratively to the notes as they become available. Additionally, some features may be implemented in a partial state and as such are not ready for testing. When those features reach a playable state they will be detailed on the notes and added to the “Testing Focus”. Please issue council all issues related to those in testing focus and in general gameplay.

In this build we have made further server performance changes that should hopefully help address some issues with AI and other server authoritative features.

Known Issues

  • AI / Characters – Inventory – Looting the weapon from an unconscious AI will cause it to teleport back into their hand a short period after picking it up
  • Animation – Weapons – All weapons are held like a pistol whilst moving in EVA
  • Hijacked Reclaimer – Datahunt – Mission/Design/locations – Player may get a crime stat after completing the final objective
  • Missions – Bounty / Mercenary – Dying in lawful UGF missions causes player to respawn at Grim Hex
  • UGF Raid – Missions / AI / Combat AI – Some Enemy AI will not engage Security AI or Players
  • FPS Weapons – Weapon holsters or un-holsters unintentionally
  • Shopping Kiosk / Multi-Buy – When using the buy Max feature, or buying the max of an item ( 1000 ) – Further attempts to purchase from the store will result in an Inventory Error or Insufficient Stock
  • Ships – Components and interior zones remain when ships are destroyed
  • Ship Features – Elevators _ The Carrack Elevators do not function correctly and appear to desync
  • Missions – UGF Locations – NPCs Not Spawning at Mission Locations
  • When purchasing a rental vehicle from a rental kiosk the money taken will not be displayed properly on the Kiosk or the mobiGlas
  • Locations – Elevators / Physics – Hangar elevator’s collision grid pushes player through its path when called (Multiple Locations)
  • Shopping Kiosk – UI / Building Blocks – Controls / Mouse – When selecting the text field box for “Quantity Multiplier” you lose control of the in-game mouse cursor
  • Locations / Art / Tech Art – Elevators have portals / Vis areas when their doors open
  • Stanton – ASOP – Ships on landing pads end up in “unknown state” for location and have to be reclaimed after the ship is stored or streamed out

Feature Updates

Gameplay

  • Price of Freedom mission updates

Reduced the reputation requirement to gain the intro hijacked caterpillar mission. Added an additional new version of the mission around Crusader. Once players have completed the first in-person mission from her directly they will be able to accept further ones from the mobiGlas while in space near planets.

  • Balance Pass for difficulties 1-10 of new Combat Assist Service Beacons
  • Made it legal to commit infractions against players that are illegally trespassing in an area

Ships and Vehicles

  • Vanduul Ship Updates

Greatly increased the fuel tank storage and adjusted fuel usage for the Blade, Glaive, and Scythe ships. Reduced hull health of several joints on on the Blade.

Core Tech

  • Made further actor networking improvements
  • Added option to enable or disable the QR code from the options menu

Bug Fixes

  • The Area18 Hospital should no longer be missing gravity
  • Breach and Steal missions Reclaimer Distress Beacon should no longer be missing for any players the mission is shared with
  • “Halt Illegal Surveillance” and “Unauthorized Surveillance Detected” missions should now correctly generate a mission marker and initialize on arrival
  • Orison shuttle doors should no longer open at a time to shove the players out of the ship
  • Players should no longer be able to use the tigerclaw chip to complete the Seize the Data mission objective
  • Fixed an issue causing the Idris Stolen by the Arlington Gang to not attack players during the mission
  • Stomping animation after takedown should no longer cause players to flip
  • Fixed an issue causing several locations at grimHex to not have an atmosphere
