Star Citizen Alpha 3.18.0y PTU.8342974 Patch Notes

Alpha Patch 3.18.0y has been released to the PTU, and is now available to test! Patch should now show: VERSION 3.18.0-PTU.8342974.

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER and Shader folders for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\PTU. The Shader folders can be found here C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Star Citizen.

Known Issues

There is a pretty severe issue in this build where players will more likely than not get an infinite load after any death in the PU. The workaround for this is that you will have to either exit the game and reload after a death when this occurs or use the character repair tool on the PTU website if that doesn’t fix the issue. This bug isn’t quite 100% but it appears to be a vast majority of player deaths when it happens.
With this said, we are releasing this build with the caveat that it might not survive the night and will have to be pulled down if it becomes too severe.

  • Actor Feature – Respawn – Unable to respawn upon player death, stuck on splash screen

  • Trading – Cargo invisible in multiple ships
  • DRAKE Corsair – Ships – Ship Features – Audio / SFX – Using the crew elevator from the surface will trigger an audio loop
  • Ships / Vehicles – Storing ships at a non-home location will result in a locked state, “Transferring to Storage”
