Star Citizen Alpha 3.18.0 PTU.8358255 Patch Notes

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER and Shader folders for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\PTU. The Shader folders can be found here C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Star Citizen.

Known Issues

  • Orison – Transit – Shuttles will cease to function / get stuck
  • Missions – 890J Boarding – The 890 Jump Does Not Spawn In
  • Network Desync / Missions – Excessive Delay of Accepted Mission Showing in mobiGlas
  • Rescue Service Beacon corrupts and becomes square / block characters while downed at mission locations
  • RSI Constellation Multivariant – Stanton – Vehicles / Ships / Docking – The snub fighter lacks interaction prompts to enter it, making it unusable
  • Hull Scraping – Weapons / Inventory / Game Code – Any full salvage RMC canister attachment will not attach to a multitool in salvage mode
  • Scanning not showing advanced statistics and details
  • Transit – Elevators and Trams are “Jittery” during transit of Player Character
  • Salvage / Hull Scraping – Anvil Carrack  – Sections of the hull show as valid but do not allow salvage ; Some only salvage when beams are offset ; Some show as valid but do not allow salvage
  • Salvaging – Some ship wreckages erroneously give “No Material” text and do not let you salvage
  • Multivehicle EU – Stanton – Vehicles – Destroyed ship thrusters will still not function after being repaired
  • Cargo – Performance – Fully loaded C2 landed at Area 18 results in Slow Framerates or Crash
  • Vehicles/IFCS – When flying near another ship, ship seems to hit an invisible box that kicks it in random directions
  • Cargo – Performance – High capacity cargo vessels, when loaded, can cause a severe performance drop on both client and server
  • Actor Feature / Law – Respawn – If a player is placed into Klescher after being rescued with a crime stat, the player is respawned in the facility still incapacitated
  • Ship / Commodity Trading / Cargo Inventory – Selling some of the cargo while the vehicle is stored cause the cargo to show at max inventory capacity
  • Selling – Commodity Kiosk / Cargo – Large amounts of cargo sold at once will cause the transaction to fail the cargo will be taken and no money will be granted
  • Law & Criminality – Commodities / Cargo – Stolen Cargo does not behave as such and can be sold as legal cargo if the ship with the cargo is stored
  • Ships – Cockpit – Actor animations – Occasionally unable to exit ship seat
  • Klescher Rehabilitation Facility – Locations / Loading – Infinite black screen on loading into Klescher
  • ASOP – Ships duplicated when left somewhere and shard change happens and file claim on ASOP
  • Locations – Transit – Elevators – Players can fall through Elevators
  • LifeTime Management – Sustenance – Items are not destroyed / cleaned up to the persistence limit when in a vehicle after streaming the area out for 60 minutes
  • Rest Stops (R&R) / Rundown Station (R&R) – Design / Transit / Location – The player is unable to call elevator from hangar interiors
  • Vehicles / Docking – A retrieved ship delivered to a docking port will be missing collision
  • Multiple Locations – ASOP Terminal / Ships – When storing a ship, the ASOP terminal will set the ship status to “Claim” instead of “Retrieve.”

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed – Breach & Steal – Design/Missions/Locations – The target Reclaimer “October Rising” will disappear when you get very close to it, makin the mission impossible.
  • Fixed – Actor Feature / Law – Respawn – Players are not spawning in to Grim Hex when dying with a Crime Stat outside of monitored space
  • Fixed – After an ungraceful disconnection upon loading back in the player spawn may not complete resulting in a failed load and 30018 error
  • Fixed – Origin 400i – Ships – Components / Materials – Paints – Applied paints do not apply to the exterior face of the airlock
  • Fixed – Character – Parasite Helmets – Helmet graph appears distorted after viewing it in an external camera once
  • Fixed – Klescher Rehabilitation Facility – Actor Feature / Characters – Player will not have the armour equipped that they were arrested in once released
  • Fixed – Valkyrie bottom turret locks and makes player invisible
  • Fixed – Components – Weapons – Distortion – Distortion damage taken to the unshielded top of the Reclaimer causes massive drop of client and server FPS on-demand
  • Fixed – Infiltrate and Defend – Mission Content / UI – The objective UI can disappear when approaching the objective area
  • Fixed – Locations – LaGrange Points – Ships can explode from collision with invisible asteroids
