Star Citizen Alpha 3.18.0 PTU.8365461 Patch Notes

Alpha Patch VERSION 3.18.0-PTU.8365461 has been released to the PTU, and is now available to test!

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER and Shader folders for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:Program FilesRoberts Space IndustriesStarCitizenPTU. The Shader folders can be found here C:Users%username%AppDataLocalStar Citizen.

Known Issues

  • Locations / Shopping / Medical – Lagrangian R&R / LEOs – R&R Clinics Pharmacy Kiosk terminals do not have sales inventory displayed
  • The Area18 Pharmacy kiosk may display an Invalid Location error when attempting to purchase any item
  • UI – VMA / MobiGlas – All ships are blurred on the VMA
  • VOIP/FOIP – Graphics / Lighting – Players are not well lit and appear dark during VOIP/FOIP calls
  • RSI Constellation Multivariant – Stanton – Vehicles / Ships / Docking – The snub fighter lacks interaction prompts to enter it, making it unusable
  • Wallace Klim is missing from the drug lab in Grim Hex
  • Looted Ammo Clips Drop Off Player
  • Multivehicle – Audio – Missing Audio/SFX with QT travel
  • Scanning not showing advanced statistics and details
  • Transit – Elevators and Trams are “Jittery” during transit of Player Character
  • Cargo – Performance – Fully loaded C2 landed at Area 18 results in Slow Framerates or Crash
  • Vehicles/IFCS – When flying near another ship, ship seems to hit an invisible box that kicks it in random directions
  • Cargo – Performance – High capacity cargo vessels, when loaded, can cause a severe performance drop on both client and server
  • Actor Feature / Law – Respawn – If a player is placed into Klescher after being rescued with a crime stat, the player is respawned in the facility still incapacitated
  • Breach & Steal – Design/Missions/Locations – The target Reclaimer “October Rising” will disappear when you get very close to it, makin the mission impossible.
  • Ship / Commodity Trading / Cargo Inventory – Selling some of the cargo while the vehicle is stored cause the cargo to show at max inventory capacity
  • Selling – Commodity Kiosk / Cargo – Large amounts of cargo sold at once will cause the transaction to fail the cargo will be taken and no money will be granted
  • Law & Criminality – Commodities / Cargo – Stolen Cargo does not behave as such and can be sold as legal cargo if the ship with the cargo is stored
  • Ships – Cockpit – Actor animations – Occasionally unable to exit ship seat
  • Locations – Transit – Elevators – Players can fall through Elevators
  • LifeTime Management – Sustenance – Items are not destroyed / cleaned up to the persistence limit when in a vehicle after streaming the area out for 60 minutes
  • Rest Stops (R&R) / Rundown Station (R&R) – Design / Transit / Location – The player is unable to call elevator from hangar interiors
  • Vehicles / Docking – A retrieved ship delivered to a docking port will be missing collision
  • Multiple Locations – ASOP Terminal / Ships – When storing a ship, the ASOP terminal will set the ship status to “Claim” instead of “Retrieve.”

  • Set up async spawn wait timer to make sure players loading into the PTU waits for locations to be fully loaded on client before entering

Bug Fixes

There have been many updates to transit/elevator timings and fixes that have gone into the build today. Please let us know in the comments if you are still seeing issues with them not appearing or running into eachother!

  • Fixed – Loot Generation – Loot boxes spawning inside one another
  • Fixed – Character – Animation – Emotes – Emotes do not work via chat or PIT
  • Fixed – UI – Player HUD appears to be smaller and does not fit to the screen / Visor effects does not cover the entire screen with high FOVs/Aspect Ratios / Black bands in area18 on the visor
  • Fixed – Time Trials – The After the penultimate checkpoint is reached and the final Checkpoint marker is added there is another marker added to the previous checkpoint
  • Fixed – Vehicles/Art/Livery – 600i Sterling paint makes ship lack art materials
