Current cloud tech is still in active development and not yet final. There’s ongoing work on SDF occlusion which should help alleviate the graphical artifacting (visual dots in the clouds). Additionally, we are working towards having local VFX for the clouds (similar to the gas clouds around rest stops) which will make a big difference in overall quality.

Testing Focus

  • Crusader
  • Orison Landing Zone
  • Constellation Taurus
  • Law System v2: Surrender
  • Power Management v2 (Capacitor Gameplay)
  • Missile Operator Mode
  • Radar, Scanning, and Ping T0

Known Issues

  • Gas Clouds on Crusader appear to have moving graphical artifacts that appear as dots. Current clouds are still in development and not final. See note at the top of patch notes.
  • Orison objects & textures loading very slowly
  • XXL Hangars are exhibiting invisible ceiling collision when ships try to disembark
  • Single location will only appear if the player spools their drive before setting destination on the starmap (Workaround: Spool quantum drive before opening the starmap and then open it and set route)
  • Unable to scan for FPS or ROC-sized mining deposits until very close
  • Security Ships do not recognise illegal goods onboard a ship when being carried by a player
  • Landing gear proxies are missing on certain ships
  • Port Tressler is missing QT marker when Player returns to microTech planet
  • Shield is getting hit multiple times on a single distortion explosion
  • Demon Fang Combat Knife asset is missing from the game
  • Surface Mining Deposits are not assigned distance markers when approached
  • Food stalls around different zones in Area18 Plaza do not spawn food or drinks for players to purchase

[PTU Feedback] Updated XenoThreat Incursion Playtest

Greetings Citizens!

We have made large improvements towards getting the updated XenoThreat ready and wanted to run them through a test with you again this weekend! This new updated Xenothreat has many changes to streamline the mission progression and many other changes!

Instructions for the Test
The playtest will occur on the PTU servers (all regions). We will start the event with Phase 1 this Friday evening and after a bit of time Phase 2 will begin. With the updated event we plan on running it from Friday until Saturday evening at some point. The updated event will automatically switch between phases and will loop after a cooldown period after players succeed or fail.

Thanks for playing and thank you for all the help!
