Star Citizen Alpha Patch 3.23.0

Alpha Patch 3.23.0 has been released to EPTU, and is now available to test!   Patch should now show: VERSION 3.23.0-EPTU.9159383.

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER folder for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\EPTU. 

Characters in this new environment will be built from LTP data so items such as medpens, ammo, rentals, and refinery jobs will be lost.

Known Issues

For 3.23, Server Crash Recovery will remove all current missions and mark them as abandoned. This will not reduce reputation when this occurs. This could cause a few trespassing issues in locations like UGFs.

  • PU – Stanton – Missions – Eliminate Specific objective marker does not update with the target’s location even though it has been spawned
  • PU – Missions / Service Beacons – Escort beacons are not visible to other players
  • PU – Stanton – Lorville – ASOP / Fleet Manager – UI – The ASOP terminals for ground vehicles at Lorville gates get stuck on infinite load, accessing list of ships
  • Graphics – Upscaling / DLSS – Under any upscaling option, ship HUD clarity is significantly affected when QT HUD is displayed
  • PU – Creatures / Kopion – Animation / AI – The Kopion creatures do not move or attack players
  • PU – Multiple Locations – Locations / Art – GrimHEX and Kareah airlocks are missing breathable air and doors
  • PU – Stanton – GrimHEX – Locations / Actor Feature – Player corpses will not despawn at GrimHEX
  • PU – Stanton – Locations – Grim Hex – Hospital – Elevator – Elevator is missing at Grim Hex’s hospital
  • PU – Stanton – Lorville – Transit / Locations – Trams missing from Perimeter Line West
  • PU – Stanton – Lorville – Female / AI – Females – There are no female social AI present around Lorville
  • PU – Interactions / UI – Panels become unresponsive, after highlighting interactables

  • Further Distribution Center Lighting, LOD, and Performance Polish Pass


  • Interior Map Updates

Hooked up rest of the unified UI overlay for the interior map. New opacity mask for map material to further aid reability for UI panels. Turned on auto-brightness for starmap edge markers.

  • Made Friendly markers fade out after 50 meters

Weapons and Items

  • Salvage Standalone tool Balancing Pass 

The standalone salvage tool has undergone a complete balance pass to improve it’s overall use

– Doubled the range than the Multitool
– Increased Gathering and Repair speed
– Allow to repair a little higher than normal multitool
– Less efficient (higher loss of material when gathering)
– Allow toggle to fire 

  • Crafting / Filler Station update

Added Cambio SRT container empty and full to the Filler Station crafting list in the Vulture and Reclaimer

  • General FPS salvage changes

Allow repair in green zones. Allow gathering to continue with the ammo container being full.

  • CureLife Medical Gun

Added Interact pose moving the gun closed to the camera to make the screen elements more visible. Made the UI elements always interactable. Fixed issue where you could not interact with the med gun screen in Heal Target Mode.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed – Global – PU – Stanton – Actor – UI – FPS / HUD / AR / Markers – Player HUD including AR UI and markers are missing
  • Fixed – Legacy and Newer Hangar AR Markers are visible when players retrieve a ship from ASOP (STARC-106623)
  • Fixed – PU – Stanton – Locations / Shopping / UI – Physical Shopping – Vehicles – Shopping card appears out of frame with display ships
  • Fixed – PU – FPS / UI / Weapons – Dynamic Crosshairs do not function with certain weapons
  • Fixed – PU – Actor / UI – HUD / Actor Status – FPS HUD doesn’t show that the player is bleeding out
  • Fixed – Stanton – Quantum Travel Linking – UI elements of group QT appear to be inaccurate or missing
