Welcome to August’s Jump Point! This month, we’re delving into the development of the latest patch, but first, we want to get into one of the key changes to your Subscriber magazine mentioned last month.
The short story is that Jump Point will publish bimonthly from now on. The longer explanation is
that everyone that works on Jump Point does it alongside full-time roles in the Marketing, Narrative, or Production teams and, as development ramps up towards Alpha 4.0 and beyond, we’re busier than ever. However, we all love working on Jump Point and are immensely proud of what we, and those who came before us, have put out for the last nineplus years (!), and we don’t want to just rush it out at the end of the month and see quality suffer. We also rely on the Star Citizen and Squadron 42 developers’ immense knowledge for many of our articles and
giving them additional time to answer our incessant questions and requests means we can dig deeper into subjects and even tackle things we haven’t had the opportunity to get into before. Ultimately, we want Jump Point to continue and get better, and the only way to do that is to give it more time.
